Isn't it funny how the threads that contain the least information are always the longest?

If you don't like the forums try using them more as an information base than anything else. Ignore the people that try to bring you down. Maybe find a different message board that you enjoy chatting on and use this one as a reference, that's what I've been doing and it's working great.

I got a bit of the same feeling when I joined but you can't let it get you down, don't let someone you don't even know stop you from enjoying the great experience that is LFS

There are some nice people on here that are willing to help you out like Tristan.

If I were to create the skin in 1280 x 1024 and only re-seze once back to 1024x1024 do you thinik I would loose much quality?

Hey all,

This may be a real noob question but it's killing me.....

When working on my skins I notice that some layers (the early ones) are becoming blury and pixelated. Would this be becuase I re-size the image too much?

It's very frustrating having to re-do layers

Any help would be greatly apprecited.

I did it that way for the back view but you're right it does look a little odd with them facing each other.

I was mucking around with the FOX at Greenwood a day before you posted this thread. After reading through everyone's advice and watching Tristans replay and downloading his set up I was able to take 5 seconds from my lap times in 4 laps!! I really wasn't giving the FOX the credit it deserved, it has soooo much grip. Much more work to go but I thought I'd share my success so far and thank you all for helping out

Thought I oughta try skinning something

It's still a WIP but I thought I'd post it up and see what you all thought. Can use any advice as I'm still new to this whole thing.

Well I'm in love - lol

I only had time to run over 2 different tracks and about half the cars last night but what a buzz!

The V8 open wheeler is fun to steer, as long as you don't use a gear lower than 3rd - lol

Anyway, I'm back into the slower cars till I get my feet which will be quite some time I feel.

I will post a replay of some laps at Blackwood to see what you guys think I can do to get my times down. I'll do this on Saturday, so busy with work!

I've had the demo for a few weeks and was always going to buy the licence, I just ended up doing it earlier than I could really afford. But I do that kind of thing all the time!

I'm at work so I've been sitting here all day, unable to play the game and thinking of what it would be like to have all the cars and tracks unlocked. In the end I couldn't help myslef!

That's probably a good thing! It's only ever used to taunt or distract on Live so I like the fact that this isn't a built in feature in LFS.

I am used to Xbox Live as I mentioned, do I go and get myself a headphone and microphone set up similar to Live for LFS? Sorry for being such a noob but I haven't had a decent PC since I played Counter Strike when it was first a Beta all those years ago! And then we only typed comments in.

Also, do most people tend to concentrate on a few different cars and/or tracks or does everyone just drive everything everywhere like they do on the xbox?
